A Note From Within
Growth and Change
The end of the year is traditionally a time of reflection, an opportunity to appreciate what’s occurred and a chance to plan for the coming year. The past year has been a whirlwind of activities for those of us at the Hospice Foundation. In addition to our usual events, such as the Helping Hands Award Dinner and Bike Michiana for Hospice, we hosted groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies for our new Veterans Memorial as well as added a Hero for Hospice Fun Run to our Walk for Hospice. We saw new faces at each of our events this year, which is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends. We renewed acquaintances with many of our long-term supporters, too.
Without friends, old and new, we wouldn’t be able to provide the number of free or discounted services to those in need of hospice and bereavement care in the communities we serve. The generosity of our friends is humbling and greatly appreciated. When we named our giving society the “Circle of Caring” we had high hopes that it would take root and grow. And it has.
The coming year promises to bring with it a number of opportunities for the Hospice Foundation to expand its ability to provide support for Center for Hospice Care. We will be announcing some new initiatives in the coming year and hope you’ll continue to be part of the circle of caring that surrounds our patients and their loved ones.
