2020 Annual Appeal
Our Patients Continue to Count on Us…
Can We Count on You?
Although COVID-19 halted many of our activities – as individuals and organizations – the need to provide compassionate hospice and palliative care for the more than 420 patients and their loved ones we care for daily hasn’t stopped. In the past, we have relied on the financial support we receive from fund raising events such as the annual Helping Hands Award Dinner, Bike Michiana for Hospice and Walk for Hospice to provide charity care and unreimbursed services (among other needs) in our nine-county service area. Unfortunately, those events have been cancelled for 2020. We hope we can rely on you to help us bridge the gap we’re facing this year.
Now, More than Ever, Each Gift Helps Keep a 40-Year-Old Promise
When CHC opened its doors in 1980, the promise was made that no one eligible for hospice care would ever be turned away – regardless of their ability to pay. Center for Hospice Care continues to provide charity care, free programming and write-offs for patients and their loved ones. In 2019, these totaled $2,576,914. Over the last five years charity care and other free programming has totaled nearly $11 million in CHC services. We hope you’ll accept our invitation to be part of our mission to improve the quality of living by making a gift to this year’s Annual Appeal.
