Center for Hospice Care will recognize the “King of Quality” with the 40th Helping Hands Award on May 7, 2025. Join us as we honor

Since founding Quality Dining, Inc. in 1981, Dan has built the organization from operating a few quick service restaurants to a multi-concept restaurant company operating over 157 restaurants in three states. Dan brought to life dynamic growth for Quality Dining.

Quality Dining is one of the top 60 franchised food service companies in the United States with over 6,000 employees. Dan and the organization have been the recipients of numerous awards and recognition both within and outside of the restaurant industry, as well as for public service.

Quality Dining and Fitzpatrick have been active in over two dozen civic groups and organizations throughout Northern Indiana, including leadership positions at Madison Center and Hospital, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Care Foundation, College Football Hall of Fame, the Morris Performing Arts Center, Logan Center and several other organizations within the community. Presently Daniel serves as a member of Holy Cross College board of trustees where he previously served as its chair for four years.

Central to Fitzpatrick’s community service has been his active support of Catholic education across the Fort Wayne/South Bend Diocese. Quality Dining’s involvement and support through the You Can Lend A Hand program has raised over $12 million for Catholic schools in northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. Daniel was awarded a doctorate degree of humanities, honoris causa, in 2012 by Holy Cross College in recognition of his service to Catholic Education.

Your support of the 40th Helping Hands Award in honor of Daniel Fitzpatrick will help Center for Hospice Care keep our 45-year promise that no one eligible for hospice care will ever be turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.
