Arrived “Home”

Arrived “Home”

Apr. 29, 2018 – My travels went well and I arrived in Entebbe on time, but going through customs and immigration is getting longer. When I thought I was through the process – and free – I found out all the luggage had to be re-scanned. My welcome was warm and it felt good to be “home.”

I think tonight will be an early bedtime. I’m tired! I did get up for church this morning and was grateful to Ritah for accompanying me, as always. The rains during the night created muddy conditions. People had to pull themselves into the church yard by holding on to nearby bushes and trees due to the mud and a small incline. Everyone moved slowly and my feet were heavy from the mud. It was a relief to return home knowing I succeeded in remaining upright!

The afternoon is bright and I’m doing some unpacking. I’ve seen numerous people already and look forward to the short visit.
