On April 10, Center for Hospice Care, the Hospice Foundation and the Center for Education and Advance Care Planning welcomed this year’s Vera Z. Dwyer Fellow in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Greg Pelc. Dr. Pelc began his month-long rotation at Center for Hospice Care at the beginning of April, as part of the one-year Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program at the IU School of Medicine.

Thanks to the generosity of the Vera Z. Dwyer Charitable Trust, we are able to fund one fellow per year in the program. The event was attended by area physicians, leaders and other supporters. Mark Murray, President/CEO of Center for Hospice Care and the Hospice Foundation, made remarks. Those attending also heard from Dr. Lyle Fettig, who directs the fellowship program, as well as Dr. Pelc. To make a contribution to the Vera Z. Dwyer Fellowship matching fund, please visit foundationforhospice.org/dwyermatch.
